Dear members of OCESTA, NACESA, IPACES, and friends:
I just received the 1st circular for the 6th WCCOGS (World Chinese Conference on Geological Sciences), which will be combined with the 2005 Annual Meeting of Geological Society of China, and held at Chifeng City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, Aug. 26-30, 2005. The deadline for submitting your response is May 30, 2005, and the deadline for submitting abstract is July 20, 2005. For details, click here for the First Circular. Some financial support will be available for overseas participants.
We started to organize this conference last September, but it took a long time to finalize. I am sorry for the short notice, but I do hope that many of you will be able to attend and enjoy the opportunity of interacting with Chinese colleagues as well as touring the attractive Keshiketeng World Geological Park of Inner Mongolia.
For information of Chifeng City of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, the venue of the 6th WCCOGS (World Chinese Conference on Geological Sciences), please visit: http://english.nmgnews.com.cn/eng/column/enlyjdtjcf/index.html and linked websites. You will enjoy seeing the beautiful sai4 wai4 feng1 guang1.
If you decide to attend the conference, please contact Ms. Wang Yanjun (firstname.lastname@example.org) directly for possible financial support, which will depend on the total available budget as well as your personal need, and will be handled individually. Again, the deadline for submitting your response is May 30, 2005, and the deadline for submitting abstract or paper is July 20, 2005. You may just submit an abstract. However, if you decide to submit an abstract and a paper, please note that they have the same deadline. Abstract and paper can be written in either Chinese or English, and at this point, don't worry about the format of the paper, because it will be edited before publication.
Don't miss this rare opportunity to meet Chinese colleagues and visit the exciting Keshiketeng World Geological Park of Inner Mongolia.
If you decide to attend, please let me know.
